Match report ASP travelled to Harlow with an understrength side for this friendly fixture with one of our league opponents this season. Harlow batted first and were soon into their stride with Pettengell particularly severe on anything loose from Pankhurst. It looked for a while that ASP may not take a wicket before Albone bowled Elston with his second ball for 32. Alderson didn't last long as he was the victim of a stunning catch from Albone at backward point. Pettengell went on to complete an impressive hundred before holing out on the boundary. A quick 37 from Norcott pushed Harlow upto 241-5. In reply ASP lost Groom early but Edwards and Strange bedded in nicely before Edwards was luckily caught at slip for 17. Ward didn't last long but Strange and Baxter put on 83 in decent time before Strange was caught and bowled for 68. Baxter looked odds on for his second consecutive 50 of the season before falling for 48, and it left the rest of the innings for batting practice as the game ended in a draw
