Aspenden, Standon & Puckeridge were formed in 2001 as an amalgamation of two clubs, Aspenden CC and Standon & Puckeridge CC. After the merge, we waited to see how the first season would go and at the end of the season it was deemed a huge success. In our second season 2002 we achieved promotion from the Herts and Essex league Division 5 on Saturdays' after a fine win against Bengeo in our penultimate game.
In 2003 the ASP's finished as Herts and Essex League Division 4 champions.
Back to back promotions soon followed in 2010 from div 5, winning div 4 in 2011 and promoted by defalt in 2012 saw us enter the Herts and Essex League Division 2. New players arrived and a valuable asset they have proven to be! Having lost a few games which could have gone either way and winning our last seven on the bounce - The Asps managed to finish 5th despite around the bottom for most of the year!
Our aim for 2014 is simply to win Division 2 and be in the top flight for the very first time. With the right attitude and support from all the team we have no doubt that this is achiveable.
