Match report A good solid performance from the ASP Sunday boys, and a great way to start the year, albeit against a fairly lacklustre Hatfield Broad Oak Side.

Skipper Albon called correctly at the toss and elected to bat on what was a slightly damp wicket to start with.

The innings didnt get off to the best of starts, ASPs losing Bingo early on dragging a wide one into his off stump, but Bear and the middle dug in and with contributions from all a target of 138 was set (Strange 36, Potter 29) for HBO to chase.

Coming out to field after the tea interval, a good start was needed and this was supplied through Pankhurst and Baxter who bowled tightly creating some good opportunities. Baxter got two wickets from short balls (?) being slapped to skipper Albon at square leg who took the two catches comfortably. Tank also picked up 1 for 17. When they were given a break after 6 overs each, Albon and new boy Luke Clifton came in and cleaned up the tail, Clifton taking 2-13 and Albon 3-3 from 4.2 overs.
