Match report A scorching day greeted ASP as they made the trip to Epping, with a flat track and a tiny, downhill boundary on one side!! ASP lost the toss and were put out to field, Surrey and Leaver opening the bowling and both getting a bit of punishment for dropping short, so much so that 60 came off the first 5 overs!! Strange was bought into the attack and stemmed the flow of runs somewhat, but Epping had got off to a flier. Ward joined the attack and dismissed French, who had already survived two blatant caught behind decisions, with a short one. Strange dismissed the number 3, but this was about as good as it got for ASP, as Hazelton followed up his 152 last week with an unbeaten 164 this week, as Epping finished on 353-4, the only downside was a little bit too much piss taking from a couple of the Epping players. After the tea of the decade, ASP knew they had to make a good start, and Akbar and Clifton did just that, with 30 coming off the first 3 overs, but Jabar chased a wide one, and Ward was strangled down the legside second ball, to leave us 30-2. Clifton played on for 17, Baxter hit a breezy 24 before being run out, and Leaver struck a brutal 28 before ASP were dismissed for 118, not before the same two idiots from the first innings indulged in some more piss taking, at least we lose with a bit of grace......
