Match report On another bitterly cold day, ASP took on Babraham at the ASP Oval. Losing the toss, we were asked to bat and the Brigadier and Bert strode to the wicket. Bert soon departed for 8 after getting some chirp from the keeper, and Bieber soon followed the ball after Jamwaa said he was looking solid. Bear started to find the middle of the Minotaur, but then bunted one back to the bowler for a dozen. Meanwhile the Brigadier was inching his way mercilessly to another Sunday 50. Jamwaa played nicely for his 10, but 145 was a tad light runs wise, with the Brigadier claiming his 100th red inker for the ASPS with 72*. After a BC tea, including a surprise sandwich, Tank and Waspy opened the bowling with Waspy picking up 3 good wickets and the Heineken Express keeping it tight. BC took a bit of pongo from their big hitter, whilst Flannels probably bowled his best spell for a while. Jamwaa picked up a wicket with his golden arm, but the damage has been done already and Babraham cruised to victory. Another disappointing turn out up the pub, with no oppo(AGAIN) and very few ASPS, with some terrible excuses for not turning up. This needs to improve.......
