Match report this may sound odd, but this was probably the best Sunday performance of the season so far. A tight opening spell from Dick and Twinkle kept the batsman quiet but our lack of bowling depth cost us as Bridgeland took full toll of the short legside boundary. Under such an onslaught it was good to see that Simon's head didn't go down and he actually bowled very well but with both batsmen well set anybody would have got some tap. Barker bored us rigid for the first 50 of his innings( it took 38 overs!!) and when he opened up we(and his own team) were wondering why he didn't do it earlier!!. In reply Gordon and Twinkle got off to a steady start before we lost 3 quick wickets to leave us on 50-5 before the Bear and James put on 72 for the sixth wicket, with James, once he actually located the ball, hitting the ball extremely hard. Young Mark and Robert hit a great boundary each with Rob ending his first ASP innings 5*. Then we were treated to the first runs of the season from Steve Lindsay who crashed 3 boundaries before realising he was going to get wet so he got himself out! We managed 165 all out which i thought was a great effort all round.
