Match report ASP have lost only once in 7 games now on a sunday under Potter's captaincy in what was a great win at Sandon on sunday.ASP lost the toss and were made to bowl first.Sandon were reduced to 30-3 after Lindsay and Pankhurst took a wicket each and Collins on his debut hit the stumps from 45 yards to put ASP in control.Strange took 3-22 and Collins 1-16 to leave Sandon 130-7 but some wayward bowling and lusting hitting took Sandon to 187 ao with Pankhurst taking 3-28.
After a nice tea St Lindsay smashed 14 in 3 balls but he, Wallace 1 and Devonshire 0 were out by Green to leave ASP in trouble at 25-3 off 5 overs.But Potter and Yates smashed 89 off 5 overs thanks to some luck but also some big hitting all around the park to put ASP in control at 114-3 off 10 overs.With the score easing up to 150 Yates was plum in front for a fine 42.But by this time Potter had reached another 50.Strange was then plum in front (after a huge inside edge) for 5 and Wissen was brilliantly caught for 1 left ASP in a hole at 150-6.Then Si Lindsay left a straight one ( Albon style) leaving ASPS needing nearly 40 with 3 wickets left.But Potter took the maturing Baxter under his wing and guided ASP to a great win hitting two big sixes to win the match and bring up his hundred. Potter 112 not out Baxter 5 not out.
