Match report ASP won a great game in what was a great day at the Green.ASP batted first and Pankhurst (48) played some beautifull shots all around the wicket.He and G.Devonshire (52) who always looks good at the crease put on 95.In came Potter (102*) who played some big shots trying to get ASP up above the 250 mark.Wallace (37 not out) looked in great form as he and Potter put on quick runs.Potter's 100 came up in only 49 balls but with 4 overs left he had to retire hurt with a knee injury.R.Devonshire(5) soon went though leaving Albon and Wallace to get ASP upto 262-3.
After a surperb tea the MWxi started to chase down the huge score.Groom and S.Pankhurst bowled well though.Change bowlers Albon 1-36 and Chalkley 0-61 went for 97 in 11 overs between them giving the MWxi a great chance of winning.But a Potter run out and some fantastic bowling by Lindsay 2-40,R.Devonshire and Strange 3-21 gave ASP a win as the MWxi were all out for 245.A big thankyou must be said to Trudy for organising a great day and a tremendous tea.Also Suzie for scoring.Thanks
