Match report Flamstead played host to ASPs on sunday in what was their first sunday victory of the season. With the sun beating down, Bert won the toss and decided to bat on waht was a lumpy/used wicket. J.W and Bert opened and looked comfortable only till james(5) popped one staight back to the bowler. Bert(5) was out a few overs later due to some suspect calling and running between the wicket with young Matty Webb. This brought Bear to the crease and the runs started to flow nicely and soon reached the 50 mark with good support from Matt, who got a good ball and had to suffer the long walk back to the pavilion only getting 11. Neil, with the 'skirting board' of a bat showed good timing and started pushing the ball through the gaps putting bear on strike to punish some grenade-like bowling. Bear passed 100 with 10 overs to go and was unfortunate not to reach 150 and was left with 142* at the end. Neil(32) was given out lbw on the last ball of the innings having batted superbly. Asp Finished on 233 for 4

After tea the asps took to the field and got off to a great start with Wardy and Lew Robbo bowling very tight lines and backed up by some good fielding all round. Wardy was soon to be rewarded taking 2 early wickets which put flamstead on the back foot from the off. Lew Robbo deserved a wicked but finished having bowled 8 overs for 27. Wardy took yet another wicket to take his figures to a hansome 3 for 29. Ben (lego hair) surrey bowled brilliantly, with his 5 overs only going for 13. Si Li carried on his form from saturday, picking up 3 wickets in the process. 1 of which was a stunning C+B off the Flamstead skipper for a second ball duck. Baxter and Webby finished the innings strongly, baxter taking 1 for 23 off his 7 and matt 0 for 18 from his 4.
