Match report ASP settled for an early season draw at a sun drenched Barley. ASP started well with Pankhurst dismissing Beedell for a duck, and Lindsay dispatching Hunt for the same score. Walters soon followed playing on to Lindsay and Barley were struggling on 29-3. Arnold and Griffin played well to steady the ship with Arnold top scoring with 61. Groom entered the fray and promptly picked up Symes and Arnold, however Wallace and McMahon swung the bat to good effect to push Barley upto 239-8. Baxter bowled well and was unlucky to be smeared for a few runs late on. In reply ASP were 1-3 after some poor appealing from Wallace led to a ridiculous LBW decision. Edwards and Clifton settled in and Edwards in particular looked in good touch as he made 37 before holing out to the 80 year old Eric Davis. Baxter came and went as did Strange before Pankhurst kept Clifton company as Clifton completed a patient 50, falling in the last over for 71. All in all, a good run out in the sun for the ASP boys
