Match report ASPs lost a game we should have won, simple as that. After losing the toss ASPs put in a great bowling and fielding effort to restrict Little Hallingbury to 209-7. King bowling a great opening spell and that was well followed by everyone else.
After tea some very ordinary, wayward and hostile bowling put ASPs in early trouble. Strange played on and Carruthers was bowled off his pads. Potter looked out of sorts and he was unlucky to see his defensive prod hit his boot and roll on to the stump just knocking off the bail. In the midst of all this Groom was playing well and he and Edwards took Asps to over 100 in 24 overs. Edwards nicked one behind and Clifton was caught and bowled but Asps were still above the rate.The defining partnership of the match had come as Wissen found some form blasting 27 as he and Groom took Asps over 200 with 3 overs spare. With the game all but won Wissen missed a straight one and the tail folded under pressure to give Little Hallingbury the win. Groom left stranded on 75 not out.
