Match report Yet another superb batting performance from ASP saw them pick up a comfortable win against Woodford Wells IV. Miles Thompson(54) and Michael Strange put on 102 for the first wicket and then Simon Groom and Strange put on 102 for the second wicket. Strange reached his 3rd league century of the season and when on 3 passed 1000 runs for the season as he and Matt King put on 69 in the final 6 overs to enable ASP to reach 273-2. In reply Woodford Wells lost wickets regularly as Francis Treadgold took 3-10 in 8 overs. With the weather closing in John Albon and Michael Strange were bought on to speed the over rate up and they succeeded in taking 5 wickets and putting the game out of Woodford's reach, with Strange also taking his 50th wicket of the season. With the rain about to come down Miles Thompson cleaned bowled Hasan to wrap up victory and put ASP within 5 points of top of the table Dunmow.
