Match report A comfortable victory for ASP batting second as they chased down 172 in just 32 overs. Ilford started well and were 94-2 off 26 overs. A burst of wickets from Michael Strange(6-27) had them struggling at 138-8 before some intelligent batting from Edwards(29*) helped boost Ilford's total to 172-8. In reply Strange and Thompson raced to 31 off the first 3 overs of which one was a maiden!! After this quick start ASP could afford to push it around and only lost their first wicket on 111 when Thompson was bowled by Sarwar. Strange and John Yates then moved the score onto 142 before Strange was bowled off his pads for 96 including 20 fours. A little wobble followed with 3 wickets going down quickly before Yates(34*) calmly scored the winning runs. Sarwar took all five wickets to fall for Ilford but ASP always had plenty in hand and run out 5 wicket winners.
