Aspenden Standon & Puckeridge Sunday XI v Weston on Sun 04 Jul 2004 at 2.00
Aspenden Standon & Puckeridge Won 9 wickets

Match report In a match reduced to 30 overs due to the rain ASP recorded a fantastic win over Weston. Michael Strange won the toss and inserted Weston. After a steady start Cracknell blasted 55 and skipper Lamprell a quickfire 41 as Weston scored 202-5 in their 30 overs. ASP's bowlers all bowled tidily with Harry Pearman unlucky to go for 46 in his 6 overs as he had a couple of catches dropped. In reply ASP opened with Alex Cassels and Mark Potter and these two put on 76 in 12 overs to keep ASP up with the rate before skipper Michael Strange joined Potter in a match winning partnership of 128 in 14 overs. Potter scored his maiden century with 13 fours and 9 sixes and ended up on 125* as he blitzed Weston's bowling to all corners of the ground, while Strange kept him company with 60* with 7 fours and 3 sixes as ASP marched to victory with 3 overs to spare with what was the cleanest display of hitting seen in many a year at Aspenden
