Match report A fine all round from ASP led them to a convincing win over Theydon Bois. After losing the toss Theydon were inserted and found scoring hard as Sapsford and Si Lindsay kept it tight at the start with Lindsay's first 7 overs all being maidens. Gilbert, Theydon's captain, opened the batting and didn't get off the mark until the 26th over!! After this Theydon were always up against it and managed to make 148-6 in their 45 overs. In reply ASP got off to a slow start and were interupted by a heavy rain shower which made conditions treachorous. Thompson was bowled by Stride but this bought the form batsman Groom to the crease who proceeded to take 18 off a Mowbury over before falling for 35. This bought Matt King in with Michael Stange and these two batmen pushed the ball around and knocked off the required runs in 36.5 overs with Strange finishing on 86*.
