Match report Another good batting performance helped to cover up a poor bowlng and fielding display. Skipper Matt King won the toss and decided to field and then stood and watched as Ben Sapsford's first over disappear for 14. This set the tone for the first part of the innings as only Simon Lindsay, who bowled his 10 overs straight through for 26, shining out in the bowling department. After 29 overs Dunmow were157-1 and ASP were looking down the wrong end of 250+. John Albon then came on and checked the run rate and took 3 crucial wickets, with 2 in 2 balls, and with Matt King getting rid of danger man Takle LBW for 87, Dunmow only scored 31 runs off the last 10 overs. Albon finished with 3-27. In reply Mark Potter hit a rapid 15 with a six and two fours before he was bowled by Iliffe, this bought Michael Strange and Simon Groom together, and they proceeded to lay waste to Dunmow's bowling. They kept the runrate ticking at 5 an over and at 30 overs had 159-1, they then accelerated to reach their target in 39.4 overs with Strange finishing on 104* from 121 balls and Groom 78* from 92 balls.
