Match report On a bitterly cold day on the green Bunt won the toss and decided to bat, which met with great delight from the ASP players as it was only going to get colder!! Only Richard Pearce really played with any authority as Miles Thompson took the first 4 wickets to fall. But, when Pearce fell under the magical spell of the 'Spin of Strange' there was nothing Bunt could do as they watched their wickets come tumbling down to give Strange a good start to the season with 6-7. Aspenden started well with Matt Booth getting the innings off to a flyer by taking 28 off the first 4 overs before being bowled by Pete Costen. Wickets fell at regular intervals with only Groomie( a cavalier 25) and Statto with a studious 19 looking like playing a match winning innings. But when these two fell it was left to Young Beard with a patient 16 to take ASP to 116-7 before the last 3 wickets fell for no runs and the match was tied. The highlight of the day was Groomie winning second prize on the "pick-a-square" card and Andrew giving it someone else even though it obviously was his name on the square!!!
